Aerotropolis CIDs Welcome New Board Members, Receive Special Awards
Two new members join Airport West CID Board, another member re-elected

New board membersThe Aerotropolis Atlanta Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) welcomed two experienced leaders as new board members in key segments of the District business industries.

Joseph Folz of Porsche Cars North America, and Neel Shah of Hotel Evolution LLC, were recently added as the newest members of the Airport West CID’s Board of Directors.

Folz is vice president and general counsel in charge of legal, compliance and government relations for Porsche Cars North America. Shah is president of Hotel Evolution, an award-winning third-party hospitality management, operations and development company.

Executive Director Gerald McDowell said the CIDs are fortunate to have the insights that Folz and Shah can offer benefitting the greater Aerotropolis business community.

“These professionals, representing strong investment and commitment in support of the Aerotropolis, are advancing us to new levels of success,” McDowell said. “They each have a unique understanding of what makes their industries thrive, right here, in this community. We appreciate their willingness to serve and to help guide our planning for new progress.”

AusMcDAirport West CID property owners re-elected Austin McDonald, COO of McDonald Development. McDonald is responsible for day-to-day activities related to financing, leasing and property manage
ment.

In addition to the board elections, the Aerotropolis Atlanta CIDs were recently honored with two awards in recognition for community commitment and compliance practices:

2016 Best of Atlanta Award

The CIDs were selected for the 2016 Best of Atlanta Award in the community organizations category by the Atlanta Award Program. The award recognizes the CIDs in their efforts to enhance the positive image of small businesses through service to customers and community, which helps to make the area a better place to live, work and play.

City of Atlanta Board of Ethics – 2016 Transparent Diamond Award
The Diamond Award recognizes the Airport West CID for successfully reaching 100 percent compliance with the city of Atlanta’s financial disclosure requirements.
