Aerotropolis CIDs welcome Estes Services, Virtual Citadel Inc. as newest members

(ATLANTA) — Commercial property owners who are also leaders in their respective industries are the newest members to join the Aerotropolis Atlanta Community Improvement Districts (CIDs).

The Aerotropolis CIDs recently secured commitments from Estes Services and Virtual Citadel Inc. as part of an expansion campaign to add new property owners. Estes Services is a leading provider of HVAC service, sales, repair and installation as well as plumbing, electrical and home weatherization. Virtual Citadel is a leading provider of data center services, cloud and fiber connectivity solutions in the southeast region.

Executive Director Gerald McDowell said Estes Services and Virtual Citadel are dynamic partners who will add new capabilities, resources and understanding to advance the CIDs’ mission to plan infrastructure improvements and create an environment for economic development.

“These are two great examples of the corporate diversity, longevity and innovation present in the Aerotropolis business community,” McDowell said. “Estes is a name that metro Atlanta has known for decades, and Virtual Citadel is a 29-year-old Atlanta IT company working on cutting-edge technology solutions. They are both innovators and leaders in the services they provide. We are proud to have their support for the CIDs.”

John Waldorf, general manager of Estes Services, said the CIDs’ vision to improve and promote the Aerotropolis region reflects the commitment of his company to continued success for metro Atlanta.

“We want to do everything we can to promote long-term economic prosperity not only for our business, but also for the community at large,” Waldorf said. “With the recent growth of residents, employers, retail stores and restaurants, we thought that partnering with the CIDs would enable the community to be able to continue to grow and prosper. The commitment that the CIDs have for our community is important to us and is something we stand behind and support.”

Alla Tsitsior, director of IT Infrastructure for Virtual Citadel, said the nature of her company’s work and its location in College Park could benefit companies with an existing presence in the area as well as those considering locating in the district.

“Being a technology innovations company and a new member of south-metro business community, it was only natural for Virtual Citadel to join the Aerotropolis CIDs,” Tsitsior said. “Virtual Citadel is proud to offer its IT infrastructure innovative solutions and many years of technical expertise to the Aerotropolis CIDs to help transform the southside of Atlanta into a world-class corporate destination.”

The Aerotropolis CIDs include both the Airport West and Airport South CIDs, encompassing businesses in Fulton and Clayton Counties.
