“There is no planet B”
The CIDs maintain more than 25 miles of right-of-way with routine services that include: mowing, edging, and debris/trash removal. Having a clean environment is a valuable asset to private and public property owners. We appreciate anyone helping to keep our area an appealing destination and business district.
According to Keep America Beautiful, “Litter is more than just a mark on our landscape. Litter is costly to clean up, impacts our quality of life and economic development, and eventually ends up in our waterways and oceans. Today, there are more than 50 billion pieces of litter on our nation’s roadways with 4.6 billion pieces larger than four inches in size. Tobacco products continue to be the most prevalent aggregate litter item, comprising more than 35 percent of all litter.”
We remove debris and collect several thousand pounds of trash each week throughout our 15.47 square mile districts.
Since 2014, we have invested a little over 2.4 million in improving the landscape and eclectic appearance of South Metro.
We make an annual financial investment to keep the area elegant and vibrant for our property owners and residents in the community.
It is important that we do our part to maintain the integrity of communities by keeping them clean, safe, vibrant and attractive. Eliminating excessive waste appropriately and permanently is the ideal goal. “Take care of the earth and she will take care of you.”
